Minority Executive Directors Coalition of King County
Dorry Elias currently serves
as the Executive Director of the Minority Executive Directors Coalition
of King County. MEDC is the longest standing and broadest based alliance
of 85 Executive Directors and Program Directors who are persons of color
working in private, non-profit health, human service and community economic
development agencies in Seattle/King County. Founded in 1981, MEDC is
widely recognized for its success in sustaining a diverse multi-racial
coalition of individuals who work together to inform, educate, influence
and empower diverse constituencies in an effort to work toward social,
political and economic equity and justice for communities of color.
