Jeanne Anderson is the Executive
Director of the Washington Early Learning Foundation. She was hired
as the first Executive Director of this new foundation in October, 2000.
The Washington Early Learning Foundation grew out of the Governor's
Commission on Early Learning and was started with a generous $10 million
grant from the Gates Foundation.
Jeanne has extensive experience
with non-profit organizations as a professional interim Executive Director
in eight different agencies and as a consultant to non-profits in board
training, strategic planning and organizational development. Jeanne
has also been the Executive Director of Volunteers of America Puget
Sound and Big Brothers Big Sisters of King and Pierce Counties.
Jeanne
has a BA in Psychology from the University of Hawaii and an MS degree
in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Arizona
in Tucson.
