Liahann R. Bannerman

Liahann R. Bannerman is Assistant Director, Volunteer & Agency Relations with The Volunteer Center, United Way of King County. Liahann manages the daily operations of the Volunteer Center, and oversees governance recruitment, training and development for board level volunteers and agencies. In addition to coordinating OnBoard trainings at local work sites, Liahann manages Project LEAD (Leadership, Effectiveness And Diversity). Project LEAD provides an intensive leadership and board development experience to people of color and then connects them with nonprofit boards. Prior to working at United Way of King County, Liahann spent three years at Family Services and has also worked for a music company and large advertising agency in the area. Liahann received a BA in Psychology from Harvard University and an MBA from Seattle Pacific University, where she focused her studies in Human Resource Management. She is a graduate of Leadership Tomorrow and currently serves on their Curriculum Committee. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Music Works Northwest, is a member of the advisory board to the Washington Wheelie Team, a program of the National Wheelchair Sports Awareness Program and volunteers for a variety of other community-based organizations and initiatives in the area.
