Amy is the Executive
Director of Seattle Works. She has worked at Seattle Works since
October 1999. Seattle Works is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) agency whose
mission is to foster in young adults a lifetime commitment to community
involvement through innovative volunteer activities and educational
opportunities. Amy has served on the Advisory
Board for the Youth Volunteer
Corps and the Board of Directors of the Hearing, Speech and Deafness
Center. She was a Co-Chair for CityClub's recent "New Perspectives:
Thoughts from Emerging Leaders Under 30" forum, and is a member
of the Northwest Development Officers Association (NDOA),
and the Volunteer Development Committee of the United Way of King
County.
Seattle Works is an affiliate
of a national organization called CityCares. Through CityCares,
Amy managed a grant received through the Corporation for National
Service to involve people with disabilities in community service
and coordinated a local literacy initiative with Scholastic Inc.
Amy has also served on the Effective Citizenry Task Force and is
currently a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.
Amy obtained her Bachelor
of Science Degree from Willamette University in Rhetoric and Media
Studies, and East Asian Studies. She is currently pursuing a Certificate
in Integrated Marketing Communications at the University of Washington.
